BYRON-- William G. Liddle, 52, Byron, died at 11:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct 14, 1978, in Americana Health Care Center, Rockford, after a long illness.
He was born Aug 2, 1926, in East Dubuque, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Liddle.
He lives nine and one-half years in Byron, coming here from East Dubuque.
He married the former Dorothy Woodford in Byron, Nov 6, 1970, and was employed as a serviceman by Kysor Manufacturing Co., Byron, for eight years.He was a member of the United Church of Christ, Byron and Byron Masonic Lodge. He graduated from East Dubuque High School.
Survivors include his widow, Dorothy, Byron; a stepson, Steven Woods, Byron; a step-daughter, Mrs. David (Linda) Dockins, Byron; six step-grandchildren; and a sister. Mrs. Andy (Lorena) Woerdehoff, East Dubuque.
Services were Tuesday, Oct. 17, in United Church of Christ, Byron, with the Rev. Dave Hubner, pastor officiating.Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Byron.
