GUS CLARY PASSED AWAY AT HOSPITAL TUESDAY. Arthur Augustus Clary passed away Tuesday at 6:25 a. m. at the Wilson County Hospital after a five weeks illness. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Loran Fawcett funeral home, where the body will lie in state until time of funeral. Rev. Keith Taylor will be in charge of the services and interment will be in the Neodesha cemetery. Arthur Augustus Clary was born December 24, 1875, in Newton County, Mo., and was 75 years and 23 days of age at the time of his death. He came to Kansas with his parents in 1878 the family locating near Lafontaine. He was married in .Fredonia on October 2, 1910, to Miss Emma Mallott. Mr. Clary farmed until 1918 when he came to Neodesha to reside. He was employed here by the Standard Oil Co. for two years. Later he farmed for the late John Deer for several years and for the past few years has been working at the Deer Greenhouses. He is survived by one daughter and one son, Mrs. Fred Collings and Jerome Clary, one granddaughter, Judith Ann Collings, and a nephew, Willard Clary, all of Neodesha. One brother, Ezra Clary, of Fredonia also survives. Mr. Clary was a member of the Pentecostal church of Neodesha.
