Scott, 56, of Harrison passed away Thursday, at Mid Michigan Medical Center-Clare. Scott was the son of David Ray and Carolyn Yvonne (Hoard) Cowell.
Mr. Cowell has resided in Harrison for over forty years after moving from North Carolina. He worked in the construction field for over thirty-eight years and was a logger. Scott enjoyed puzzle solving, woodworking, hunting, gardening, canning, hosting barbeque parties and was an avid fisherman.
Surviving Mr. Cowell is his life partner, Gloria L. Woodward of Harrison, three daughters: Amanda Beaube of Florida, Danelle Oulette of Florida and Melissa Cowell of Beaverton, Michigan, two sons: Scott Cowell Jr. and Kelly Beall of Michigan and Timothy Cowell and companion, Amanada Finney of Beaverton, four step daughters: Nicole Sny and husband Dave of Rockford, Michigan, Jennifer Meyers of Florida, Melinda Hayes and husband Tim of Hillman, Michigan and Anna Hatcher and husband Ian of Grand Ledge, Michigan, one sister, Susan Bonner of Harrison, five brothers: Dennis and Nancy Mills of King Salmon, Alaska, David Cowell Jr. of Harrison, Michael Cowell of Coleman, Michigan, Christopher Cowell of Harrison and John Cowell and fiancé Shannon Marsh of Harrison, twenty four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cowell was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Nicholas Cowell and Tommy Ecklin, his twin grandsons and one niece, Teri Lea Rolfe.
