Dad was born In England, Arkansas to Mattie Frances Poore and William Washington McGarity. They called both father and son "Bud". Bud Sr died before he was born to a pandemic on 4 JUly 1923. His mother died when he was 9 years old. He basically raised him self working in the cotton fields. He had 2 brothers Alvin (Placerville,CA), Woodrow Paul (Conn) Two sisters Pearl (little Rock)and Lorene (Mo) McGarity. Half brothers Billy and AJ Vint and Half sisters Idell (England, Ark) and Gracie VInt. Gracie I never met and actively looking for her family.
He was a hard worker and worked his whole adult life as a Crain Operator @Western Pacific Railroad in Sacramento, CA. He also trained Police dogs for the Railroad and SPD. Every Saturday I remember dad polishing our wood floors so I could slide around in my socks. Then we would walk to the Senator Roller skating for my skating lessons. We walked everywhere. MY favorite time to take off my shoes and walk for miles. It taught me to love nature. Thank you dad for the happy memories!
