Sam Crook, 71, formerly of Smoot, died at his home in San Diego California July 29 after a serious illness.
He was born in Fish Haven, Idaho December 4, 1883 a son of Orson Crook and Mary Wenterbottom Crook. He was a carpenter by trade. He leaves to mourn his loss the following children; Lemont and Russell Crook of Oakland; Beatrice Mallory of San Diego; and Florence Hex and Guen Taylor of Grant Idaho, Thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters also are survivors; Betsy Erickson of Fairview; Elizabeth Johnson of Auburn; Hyrum Crook and Helen Olson of Salmon Idaho; Mable Bruce of Smoot and Mildred Jensen of Pocatello, Idaho.
He was buried in the LDS plot in Greenwood Memorial Park, San Diego, August 2, 1954.
