Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 3 from the Hacker Funeral Parlors in Sandusky for Eldon Howard Cornwell, 41, Applegate, who passed away in Marlette hospital on July 31 following an extended illness.

Rev. Lester N. Nelson, pastor of the Applegate Pilgrim Holiness church, officiated and burial was in Washington cemetery, Carsonville.

Mr. Cornwell was born on June 2, 1924 near Applegate and has been a resident of that area all his life where he was engaged in farming.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Alice Cornwell, Applegate; four brothers, Calvin and Lloyd both of Applegate, Charles and Harvey both of Port Huron; three sisters, Mrs. Glenn Winters and Mrs. Edward Lax both of Port Huron and Mrs. Floyd Studaker, Pontiac.
