Jesse Walter Beith, 71, former Idaho Falls seed company executive, died at a local hospital at 4:17 pm Sunday following a lingering illness.

He was born Jan. 25, 1884, at Allen, Neb., the son of George A. and Lydia Ellis Beith. He grew up there. On July 26, 1906, he was united in marriage to Miss Phoebe Davis of Martinsberg, Neb. They were married at Ponea, Neb. In 1916 they moved to Ogden, Utah, and lived there until 1925 when they came to Idaho Falls, where he was superintendent of the seed production division of a packing concern. He retired March 1, 1949.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and has been an elder of the church for many years. He was a member of Eagle Rock Lodge No. 19 AF and AM.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sisters and one brother. Mrs. Alice Teller and Mrs. Ora Motts, Sioux City, Iowa; and Ernest Beith of South Sioux City, Neb.
