James Henry Van Scoyk, 68, of 210 E. Ohio St. was found dead of an apparent heart attack in his residence about 10 a.m. Thursday. Mr. Van Scoyk was retired from the Studebaker Corp. He was born on May 20, 1904 in Peru, Indiana. In South Bend he married Mattie M. Binney, who survives. Also suriving are four brothers, Theodore and John, both of South Bend. Roy of Mishawaka, and Clyde of Osceola, and a sister, Mrs. Forest Fox of South Bend. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Forest G. Hay & Son Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St., where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Keith Bennett, pastor of the First Brethren Church, officiating. Burial will be be Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
