Agnes Marie Hicks Meads, age 86, of Camdenton, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri

Agnes was born March 10, 1925 in Macks Creek, Missouri, the daughter of William R. and Bertha (Gerhardt) Eidson.

Agnes was united in marriage to Don Hicks, who preceded her in death. She later married Eldon Meads who also preceded her in death.

Agnes had professed her faith early and was a member of First Baptist Church in Macks Creek.

Agnes began working at the age of 16 as a postal worker. She later taught school in the Macks Creek and Parrot Grove School Districts. After moving to Kansas City, Agnes worked as a sales clerk for over 22 years. Agnes loved her family dearly and more than anything, she enjoyed spending time with them and caring for them. Agnes was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by one son, Don Hicks and his wife, Toni, of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Katharyn Bradford of Camdenton, Missouri and Claudia Bonner of Grants Pass, Oregon; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, along with several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Don and Eldon; one son, Robert, and one sister, Georgeann Moulder.
