William Hayes Alexander was a retired mail carrier, school teacher and a well known farmer, when he passed away at Middlesboro Hospital, Middlesboro, Bell Co, KY at the age of 64. He was a member of the Mountain View Methodist Church and Powell Valley Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his his wife, Luna Pruett Alexander, four sons, Major George Alexander of Austin, TX, Albert, David and William Alexander of Speedwell, TN, two daughters, Alice and Harva Lou Alexander of Speedwell, TN, four brothers, Mitchell Alexander of Middlesboro, KY, O. H. Alexander of Warm Springs, GA, Hugh Alexander of Cleveland, Ohio and Moss Alexander of Baltimore, MD, three sisters, Mrs. Jesse L. Rogers of LaFollette, TN, Mrs. Wade Apperson of Middlesboro, KY, and Mrs. Charles Hogg of Winchester, KY, and 6 grandchildren.
