Jeff Miller, or Grandpa Miller, was born in Georgia in 1819 and died July 12, 1917 at the home of his son-in-law L. Pemberton, near Nocona, Texas. He came to Texas years ago and resided here ever since. He united with the Baptist Church at age 25. Mr. & Mrs. Pemberton cared for him carefully for 8 years. He was an Ex-Confederate Soldier. He is survived by 6 sons, 3 daughters. He wife & two daughters passed years ago. His remains were laid to rest July 12, 1917, conducted by Rev. Jim Simmons, at the Nocona Cemetery.
