CHESAPEAKE - Edward W. Stone, 93, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010, at a local hospital. Born in West Virginia, Mr. Stone was a retired electrician with PWC at Oceana.
He was predeceased by his wife, Zella Ruth Stone and is survived by a daughter, Norma Huddleston of Chesapeake; two sons, Ronald Stone of Chesapeake and Richard Stone and wife Lisa of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Della Comer of Athens, W.Va., Beatrice Goerlitz of Mobile, Ala., and Dorothy San Juan and husband Ramone of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandchildren, Sharon Davenport and husband Carlton Ray of Glen Allen, Va., Richard Stone of Richmond and Andrew and Alex Stone of Virginia Beach; great-grandchildren, Lorin Hehl and husband Kyle of Virginia Beach and Kelsey Davenport of Glen Allen, Va.; and a very special niece, Thelma Hayes of Titusville, Fla.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon Tuesday at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m.
