E.C. Sherwood, Salesman, Dies
Ernest Clark Sherwood, 521 E. College, 78, well-known furniture salesman, died at his home Tuesday from a blood clot.
He was born October 22, 1893 at Heber City, Utah, the son of Clark and Jesse Faith Tomlinson Sherwood. He attended schools in Alberta, Canada.
Mr. Sherwood married Cecil Florence Carstensen June 6, 1917 in the Salt Lake City Utah L.D.S. Temple. They came to Idaho Falls 38 years ago. He was a well-known furniture salesman in Idaho Falls.
He is a member of the L.D.S. Church and had been active with the Bonneville Posse. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and music.
He is survived by his widow, two sons and two daughters: Ernest Franklin Sherwood of San Francisco, California, Mrs. Woodrow (Marjorie) Arrington of Idaho Falls, Mrs. Morris (Loraine) Wright of Los Angeles, California and Jerald Clark Sherwood of Oahu, Hawaii: 20 grandchildren two great-grandchildren.
Two sisters and one brother also survive: Mrs. Alta Barnes of Oakland, California and Clyde Tomlinson Sherwood and Mrs. Ethel Lavon Ming, both of Alberta, Canada. He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the 14th L.D.S. Ward chapel with Bishop Mont Mason officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:30 until 9 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
