CUMBY - V. V. Riley, of the Mt. Zion Community died at 7 a.m. Thursday in his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the W.Y. Goff Chapel in Commerce. The Rev. Walter Lazenby will officiate with burial in Rosemound Cemetery.
Mr. Riley was born June 6, 1907 in Hopkins Co., the son of D. W. Riley and Ida Richardson Riley. He married Lillian Craig Ketron on May 7, 1934 in Commerce. He was a retired cattle rancher.
Survivors include his widow, one stepson, Bob C. Ketron of Ponder; one stepdaughter, Mrs. James P. Pittman of Van Alstyne; his mother; two brothers Dick Riley of Midland, Ralph Riley of Mineral Wells; four sisters, Mrs. Earl Evans of Grand Prairie, Mrs. John Wells of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Gordon Hamm of Commerce, Mrs. Jerry Cave of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ben Cave, Robert Ketron, Robert Riley, Phillip Jumper, Bibby Hill and Benny Riley.
