Obituary Text: Docie Young,age 95,Route 1,Clear Branch Community,died Sunday,October 24,at The Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church.
Mrs. Young was preceded in death by husband, Roy Young; son, Damon Young: three sisters, and three brothers. She was born March 27,1898 in Campbell County, daughter of the late Isaac and Mary Elizabeth Richardson Wilson. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth H.Sr. and Beluah Young of Lake City: sisters Virgie Young of Maryland and Ruth Bolinger of Ohio, daughter-in-law Jewel Young of Dearborn Heights, Michigan; 8 grandchildren 15 greatchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 11 a. m. Wednesday Oct. 27 at the Clear Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. George Delozier and the Rev. Floyd Powell officating. Interment will follow at Leach Cemetery. Cox Funeral Home of Lake City in charge.
