Anna Marie Herrington, 89, of Angleton, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010, in Angleton. She was born April 7, 1921, in Corpus Christi, to Ray and Josephine Usry.
She loved fishing, camping and the Astros. Anna loved spending time with her family having barbeques and fish fries.
She is survived by son, LeRoy Cole (Beverly); stepson, Eddie Herrington (Sharon); daughter-in-law, Kay Cole; sister, Lorene "Tot" McBroom ; grandchildren, Leroy "Chip" Cole, Jr. (Christi), Susan Scott (Bobby), Rona Kubecka, Robert M. Cole, Jr., Toby Cole (Cherrie), Amber Jackson (Michael) and Johnny Herrington; 22 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Melvin Cole and John Herrington; son, Robert M. Cole, Sr.; sister, Dorothy Oliver (1918-1998); brother, Ray Usry; and great-granddaughter, Courtney McGaughy.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Corpus Christi.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute.
Pallbearers will be Chip, Robby, Toby and Trey Cole, Tanner and Tyler Odom. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Herrington, Matt, Kevin, Robby III and Derek Cole.
The family would like to thank Nora Castro and IPH Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
