W.T. Daniel Dead
Well Known Resident of Landrum Dies Suddenly
Landrum and community mourn the loss of one of its best citizens, in the death of Mr. W. T. Daniel, who died from a stroke of paralysis Thursday morning, in the 50th year of his age.
It is said that he arose very early in order to get the the gin before the usual rush at this season of the year, and on the way to the gin was stricken.
Mr. R.T. Earle, who lived a neighbor to Mr. Daniel all his life previous to coming to Spartanburg, says of him:
"No man ever had a better neighbor than was Mr. Daniel. He always was ready to lend a helping hand where there was sickness and distress. He was a man strictly honest and honorable, and a high toned Christian citizen. The community in which he has lived all his life will surely miss him."
He leaves a widow and two children, Mrs. Ashby Sevier who lives at Gowansville, and Miss Eudora Daniel.
