Emil Cassady funeral today
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Garden of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Baxter Memorial Gardens, for Mr. Emil Vaugh [sic] Cassady, 78, who died on Tuesday at the Baxter Manor Nursing Home.
Mr. Cassady, who resided in Mountain Home since his retirement in 1964, was born on April 22, 1899 at Indianapolis, Ind., to the late U.G. Cassady and the former Minnie Bell Baughn [sic] Mr. Cassady served in the Army during World War I and was a 50-year member of Ancient Landmark Lodge No. 319 A&FM of Indianapolis and the Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 of Mitchell, Ind.
Mr. Cassady married the former Dorothy Duesenber, his only survivor, on Jan. 9, 1936 at Auburn, Ind. He graduated from Butler University in 1922 and was employed in research for 21 years by the American Can Company.
The Mountain Home Masonic Lodge No. 225 and the North Arkansas Veterans Council will officiate. Funeral arrangements are made by Roller Funeral Home.
