He married Aeltje Van Dalssen on 15 January 1717/18 in Tappan, New York at Tappan Dutch Reformed Church located in Rockland County[was called Orange County at the time of their marriage].
Aeltje Van Dalssen, born 20 March 1694/95 in Haarlem, New Holland; died 17 January 1743/44 in Tappan, New York. She was the daughter of Jan Val Dalssen and Anna Van Raetsvelt.

He lived in the house built by his father in Old Tappan, just south of the New York-New Jersey state line.
