As a girl of 15 Bessie moved west from Missouri in 1906 with her family of 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Her brother Silas had passed away in 1897.
Sisters Stella and Nellie Irene had already married and stayed in Missouri.
Moving west were:
Guy Wesley (1877-1951) who would marry Minnie J Barthell (1875-1945)
one daughter Florence (1913-1977)
Gilbert Harrison Spicer (1882-1961) married Pauline Pat Jorgensen
parents of 3 children.
George Henry Spicer (1888-1958 ) married Ada and they were the parents of 4 children.
Nettie Mary Spicer Miller (1880-1957) married Alpheus C Miller (1873-1910). They had 2 daughters
Amy Helen Spicer Rozen (1886-1974) married William Henry Rozen (1885-1918). They were the parents of 3 sons and 1 daughter.
So even though it was hard as a young teen to leave behind so many memories there was a lot to look forward to out west.
Bessie never married
