Requiem mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a. m. Thursday in St. Francis church for Mrs. Leona Virginia Clair, 1115 N. Francis, who died Monday. She is the sister of Monsignor A F Monnot, first pastor and builder of Our Lay's cathedral here, who now is rector of the Holy Family cathedral in Tulsa.
Another brother, Charles L. Monnot, 1800 NW 19, was the architect and designer during construction of Our Lady's cathedral.
Mrs. Clair was the widow of Thomas Clair, pioneer Meeker resident, who died a year ago.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Loretta Brackett, Omaha, and Mrs. George Meegan, 1115 N Francis; two sons, Leo Clair, 216 SE 35, and Ed Clair, Oakland, Calif; her mother, Mrs. Tillie Monnot, Shawnee; four sisters, Mrs. Oliver Benton and Mrs. Agnes Bishchoff, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Anne Callahan, Portland, Ore., and two brothers, L. P. Monnot, San Francisco, and Frank C. Monnot, San Jose, Calif.
Rev. J. van der Grinten will officiate at the services. Burial will be in the Memorial Park, under direction of the Watts funeral home.
