Roy Alvis Tuck of Fresno, died on Saturday, December 13, 2008, at the age of 83. Mr. Tuck was born in Taft, Ca. on January 12, 1925, and graduated from Whittier High School, enlisted in the U.S.Army, serving in France and Germany in WWll. He returned home and married his childhood sweetheart, Patricia Jean Berry, who preceded him in death on February 4, 2003, after 56 years of marriage. He came to Fresno in 1949, and graduated from Fresno State College in 1951, completing his Masters in Education in 1956. Alvis taught Industrial Arts at Roosevelt High School for 33 years. He and his family faithfully attended Riverpark Bible Church(formerly Memorial Baptist Church) for 59 years and was active in leadership positions including Sunday School teacher, choir, youth programs and served as deacon and elder.

Mr. Tuck is survived by sister, Joanne Thiesen of Visalia; brother, Bill Tuck of Jacksonville, Fl.; children, Jim and Sharon Tuck of Fresno, Dale and Marilyn Tuck of Phoenix, Az., Gary and Lynne Tuck of Los Gatos, Ward and Rachel Conger of Ellensburg, Wa.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial Service will be held at Riverpark Bible church on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at 1:00p.m. Remembrances may be made to Riverpark Bible Church Camp Scholarship Fund, 7500 N. Millbrook Ave., Fresno, Ca. 93720. FAREWELL 660 West Locust Ave. Fresno, Ca.
