Myrl Head Bradford Hightower, 91, of Cullman entered into rest on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in Cullman.

She was born on October 5, 1920, to Frank Elisha Head and Mary Fannie Carpenter Head. She was a member of Nesmith Methodist Church for many years. Myrl and Reaburn Bradford were married 54 years and enjoyed going to gospel singings. She loved to cook for her family and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She loved to quilt and work in her flower and vegetable gardens. Later in life, she met and married Quenton Hightower. During their 12 years together, they enjoyed traveling and taking photographs.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 6-8pm at Nesmith Church in Nesmith, where services will be held on Saturday, February 25 at 2pm. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Reverends Steton Hayes and Robert Partridge will officiate.

She is survived by her nephews, Yewel Vandiver, Jerry Vandiver, Hershel Head, Wendell Head; nieces, Rachel Geno, Judy Brown, Carolyn Farris, Barbara Harrell, Dianne Herrmann; 5 great nieces and nephews, Nathan Geno, Angela Williams, Adam Brown, Jessica Britt, Crystal Vandiver; and 3 great great nieces and nephews, Hannah Geno, Abigail Williams, and Brody Williams, She was preceded in death by her first husband, Reaburn Bradford; second husband, Quenton Hightower; parents, Frank and Fannie Head; 2 infant sons; brothers, Elbert, Alvin and Quenton Head; and sister, Verla Vandive.
