Mary Mae (Loggan) Brown may have been born near Coffeyville/Caney, Kansas area. Most of the Loggan family lived in that area. Mae was mother to Leo, James, Melvin, Bertha and Jack. She lived with her husband,Frank,in Arkansas City,Kansas on the east side of town near the Walnut River for many years. Frank and Mae moved back on a farm near Havana, KS a few years prior to her death. She had been bitten by a copperhead snake a few months before and it was wondered if that had anything to do with her death.
