Funeral services for Lawrence Daniel "Larry" Crimmins, 76, East Moline, are 10 AM Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 6-8PM Friday, May 27, 2011 at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Church. Larry died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at East Moline Nursing and Rehab.
He was born August 8, 1934 in Fairbury, NE, the son of BJ and Rachel (Mullens) Crimmins. Due to the illness and death of his mother when Larry was a young child, the family moved to Olympia, WA to live with his aunt and uncle Hazel and Larry Mullens. He graduated from William Winlock Miller High School in Olympia, WA, in 1952. After graduation they moved to East Moline. He married Carol Milburn on March 25, 1956 at St. Anne, East Moline. He retired from the former International Harvester/JI Case after 30 years of service.
Survivors include his children and spouses; Ron and Christy Crimmins, Rock Island, Dan Crimmins, Silvis, Dave Crimmins, East Moline, Larry Crimmins, East Moline and Cindy and Todd Price, East Moline, twelve grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Darrell Yeargle, East Moline.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his aunt and uncle who raised him, Larry and Hazel Mullens, and siblings; Donald Crimmins, James Crimmins, Ronnie Crimmins and Dorothy Ann Alvey.
