Richard6 Crocheron was the son of Henry5 and Ann (Decker) Crocheron. He was bp. at St. Andrews on 15 June 1783. His first wife was Ann Perine, daughter of Edward and Addra (Guyon) Perine and his 2nd wife was Louisa Rebecca Geib, daughter of William H Geib who was born in 1805 who m. (2) Dr. Dutcher in March of 1860. She removed to Newark, NJ. Richard Crocheron was elected Secretary of the Sunday School of St. Andrews on 20 July 1829. In 1830, he was appointed by the State Senate, a Surrogate upon the nomination of the Governor. He was also one of the Commissioners of Loans. He became the County Treasurer and Surrogate in 1836. He was a supervisor of Northfield, Staten Island from 1816 to 1823. He was the father of Addra P. Crocheron who m. Ephraim O. Johnson; Henry Nicholas who m. Lucretia King, and Susan Ann.
