LINCOLN and ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Stella Stanley Trombley, 88, passed away June 24, 2011, in Zephyrhills, Fla. She was born Feb. 1, 1923, in Lincoln, daughter of Charles Emery and Eva (Downs) Drake.

In her earlier years, she enjoyed picking the wild berries, which would eventually go into one of her home baked pies or some other goodie she would make for others to enjoy. She and her first husband, William Stanley, enjoyed fishing, RV camping and spending time at their camps on Bottle Lake. Together they built a successful trucking business and were able to give back to their community by building Community Evangel Temple and donating it to the people of the church. Bill passed away in 1985. Later in life, Stella married Donald Trombley.

She is survived by her husband, Donald, of Zephyrhills, Fla.; her three children and their spouses, Gail and William Gardner, and Dale and Darlene Stanley, all of Lincoln, and Lorna and Blaine Gordon of Enfield; seven grandchildren, Jamie, Wade and Brad Gordon, Thomas and Scott Gardner, and Stephen and Russell Stanley; her sister, Mildred Crocker of Lee; a special nephew and his wife, Paul and Diane Drake; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and Don's family: his mother, Eva Trombley; his sons, Jeffery, Danial and John; and his sisters, Val, Theresa and Gloria.

In addition to her parents and her first husband, Bill Stanley, she was predeceased by three brothers, Charles Emery Drake, Clifton Drake and Earl Drake.
