Amanda E. Wolter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Wolter was born at LaValle, Jan. 20, 1875, the family later moving to Loganville.
On August 6th, 1895 she was united in marriage to Edward L. Schulze, who was then conducting a hardware business at Columbus and where they made their home for twelve years, moving to Reedsburg in 1907, where they have since resided.
Two daughters were born to them, Edna, who now teaches in Evanston, Ill., and Alberta, employed in the Citizens Bank.
Mrs. Schulze was a member of the St. Peters church, of the Ladies Aid society and of a sewing club. She was strong in her Christian faith, her religion was manifested in her every day life and she was beloved by all who knew her.
The home has indeed been left desolate. Beside the husband and daughters, Mrs. Schulze is survived by four brothers and two sisters, Edward Wolter, of Ewen, Michigan, Gilbert of Chicago, Albert of Prairie du Sac, and Arnold of Muncie, Indiana, (Elsie) Mrs. H. C. Westphal and (Olga) Mrs. Reinhart Schultz of Reedsburg.
The funeral was held from the home at 1:00 and from the St Peters Lutheran church at 2 o'clock on Tuesday.
An abundance of the most beautiful flowers bore testimony to the place Mrs. Schulze held in the affection of her friends.

Taken from the Reedsburg Paper.
