Bobbie was a wonderful person, highly respected by all who knew him and, he touched the heart's of all who came in contact with him. He was full of life even at 75 and lived it to the fullest. Bobbie never really had a family, his parents placed him in a home when he was just 7. He told me he spent his entire life hurting because, out of 7 children he was the only one his parents "got rid of" they couldn't afford to feed and, cloth all 7 so Bobbie was the one they gave away.
He said he grew up thinking something must have been wrong with him because, why would they give one away and, not all?He was such a special & precious man. The stories he told me of his life broke my heart. I miss him so very much and, him dying has left another huge hole in my heart. No one can ever replace my sweet Bobbie Gene. He was like the daddy I never had. And, a daddy is what he said he always wanted to be, so he could give children all the love he never had. But,he never married or had children. I gave Bobbie a birthday every yr. for 5 yrs. before he left this world. Each yr. he told me that he wanted lots of balloons because, he never had them as a child.
Bobbie Gene loved to be "silly" each weekend when we were out dancing & I sat @ the table refreshing my lipstick he would lean over the table to me & say "put some on me" LOL and, I would... never bothered him abit to be out there dancing wearing my lipstick. I have many treasures that Bobbie Gene bought me thru the yrs. A comb/brush & mirror set. A nice lighter, a western shirt a couple of necklaces. One yr. @ my birthday party he brought me a nice wallet & inside was 20.00 not wanting to keep his money because, I knew HE really needed it. I placed it by his beer on our table while he was dancing. He never even knew...

The next weekend he ask me what I bought myself with the birthday money... I just smiled and, said I gave it to a friend who really needed it. And, he told me that was nice of me.. He went to the corner store by the club EVERY weekend & bought himself a hot dog & nacho's and a huge sugar cookie. And, nearly always broke it in half and, gave me part of it. I miss this dear sweet man so much & he will always be in my heart.

I'm not sure about how many living siblings Bobbie had when he passed away. I do know he had 1 sister for sure still alive. Somehow someone was able to contact her about his death. She went to his apt and, got all of his belongings that she wanted. But, never claimed him. When I contacted the funeral home 2 1/2 mths after his death. I was told that he had been cremated & his ashes had never been claimed. I wanted to claim them but, wasn't allowed to as I was not a family member. I hope he knows that there was at least one person in this world who did want him.
And, that he has many friend's who love & miss him.
