Morris Barge is the son of Lewis Barge SR and Susannah Merrick.

Morris served for the Union in the Civil War in Co B, Iowa 34th Infantry. Promoted to Full 2nd Sergeant. He died of disease in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Maria M Halterman Barge remarried after the Death of Morris Barge in the Civil War. She remarried to Nehemiah GILL (FAG # 38623673).
