Mrs. Austin was born Feb. 15, 1926, in Clarksville to Garret and Margaret Eilers. Eula had many friends and family that she loved very much. She was a preacher’s wife and loved it; her church family loved her dearly.
Eula was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, the Rev. James S. Austin; her son, James Austin; three brothers, Leo Doc and Delbert Eilers; and three sisters, Gertrude Stanley, Lela Smith and Marie “Sis” Harrison.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. on Friday in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with the Rev. Louis Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Survivors include her daughter, Janette Savage; three grandchildren, Tracey Savage, Cindy Wilson and Heather English; six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
