Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. for Mrs. Margaret Redig, age 74 who died on Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Barth. The Rev. M.J. Kraus officiated at the funeral at St. Mary's Catholic church.
The deceased was born in Grimms on June 18, 1860. Her name before marriage was Margaret Eigenberger, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Eigenberger.
She was married to George Redig on October 17, 1880 at Clarks Mills. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Brillion. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago.
She was a member of the Christian Mothers society.
She is survived by four children, one son George Redig at Rantoul, three daughters, Mrs. Robert Eick, Mrs. Henry Kersten and Mrs. Henry Barth, all of Brillion; and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Chada, and Mrs. Jacob Gerl of Milwaukee and Mrs. Frank Eick of Stanley, and sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. The pallbears were six grandsons, Edward E. Eick, Raymond and Lawrence Kersten, Arthur Chada, Edward Barth, and Ray Eigenberger.
Out of town relatives and friends present were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Eigenberger, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Eigenberger of Plymouth, Mrs. Charlie Chada, son Arthur, Mrs. Jacob Gerl, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Eigenberger all of Milwaukee, Mrs. Julie Eigenberger of Sheboygan, Mrs. Fred Seling of Kiel, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Geigel and son of Manitowoc, Miss Margaret Eigenberger and Arthur Pritzl of Grims, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eick of Seymour, Mrs. Lelia Bender and son, De Pere; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stanelle Jr. of Forest Junction; Mr. and Mrs. George Redig, Potter; and Edward Eick of Chilton.
