He was born Aug. 18, 1956, son of Dave and Gretchen (Berry)Geer. On Aug. 20, 1988, he married Tami Rickert at Reinbeck. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Rochelle, and an avid baseball fan. He graduated from Bushnell High School, Bushnell, Ill., and completed a business degree from Western University and Augustana college.
His survivors include his wife, Tami Geer of Rochelle, one son, Jamie Stroops of California; two daughters, Stephanie and Jessica Geer, both of Rochelle; his father, Dave Geer of Bushnell; a brother, Steve Geer of Bushnell; a grandchild, Clarissa Stroops; nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1420 Flagg Road, Rochelle, with the Rev. Dan Johnson officiating. Interment in Bushnell Cemetery at 3 p.m. Saturday. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Lyons Cluts-Simes Funeral Home, 704 N. Sixth St., Rochelle, and for an hour before services Saturday.
Memorial has been established for the Dave Geer Memorial Fund.
