Ruth Madalyn Faucon of Harlingen TX. formerly of El Reno OK, died Saturday, May 7, 2011, in Harlingen. She was born on October 12, 1920, in Trenton MO. Ruth Madalyn Sheffield married Leo Jules Faucon, and they lived in Peoria IL. She worked at the Caterpillar plant during World War II. They moved to Kansas City KS in 1945 and from there to El Reno in 1950, where she worked at the Fort Reno Agriculture Research Station from 1959 to 1971. In 1982 Ruth and Leo moved to Harlingen TX, where she had resided since. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in El Reno, where she was an elder and had sung in the choir. She was a member of the El Reno Camera Club and Track 2 square dance club. She loved playing golf and played every day until May 2010 when health prevented her from playing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Victor Sheffield and Lola Belle (Duncan) Sheffield; husband Leo Jules Faucon; sisters Avenelle Messina and Imogene Bastron; brother Frederick Orville Sheffield; Daughter Kathryn Koreen Crawford; and great-grandson Steven Brian Crawford II.

Survivors include daughter Karen Kay Garrett & husband Fred of Fort Cobb OK; sons John Charles Faucon of San Jose CA and James Victor Faucon of Harlingen; sister-in-law Betty Sheffield of Kansas City KS; 7 Grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
