Dr F.K. Burnett, Clarinda physician for many years, died this Monday [June 27] at 5:30 am following a long illness. The family is bringing the body here for burial.
Kirk was a native of Hepburn, born northwest of there. His mother was Mrs Eva Burnett, active in Clarinda until her death several years ago. Dr Burnett, adding to his professional work, served on the city council and in the American Legion. He had retired from work with the veterans administration several years ago when he reached 70 years.
Darrell Davison will meet the wife and 14-year-old son, Charles, when they arrive from Cheyenne. Walker Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements, planning graveside service either Thursday or Friday morning. His mother is buried in Clarinda Cemetery.
