Funeral Held for Mrs. F. Hoffarth

Funeral services were held Christmas Eve day at 9:30 a.m. for Anna Christina Hoffarth at the St. Mary's of Mount Carmel church in Long Prairie The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Geo. Rauch officiated.
Cross bearer at the funeral was Mrs. George Wolf. Pallbearers were Ruben Thiegs, Romain Claseman, Arnold Griep, Ronnie Aronld, Dr. F. J. [ ], and Roman Hoffarth. Honorary pallbearers were Mrs. Henry Hansmeyer, Mrs. S.T. Mrozla, Mrs. James Chzba Sr., Mrs. Nestor Gans, Mrs. Ferdinand Nokels and Mrs. M.J. Poegering. Burial as in St. Mary's cemetery.
Mrs Hoffarth died at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday evening Dec. 19 at her home. She had been in failing health for the past several years and was taken seriously ill about a week before her death.
Anna Christina Claseman was born Apr. 18, 1875 in Long Prairie township the daughter of Bernard and Adeline (Poegering) Claseman. She was married to Frank X. Hoffarth Oct 6, 1896, in Long Prairie.
Surviving are her husband, a daughter Olivia of Long Prairie, a son, Norman of Alderwood Manor, Wash., a brother, Henry B. Claseman of Long Prairie, a sister, Mrs. Frank Thiegs of Long Prairie, and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Hoffarth lived in Long Prairie all her life. She was a member of St. Mary's of Mount Carmel church, the Women's Catholic Order of (?), the Christian Mothers and Womens Relief Corps. She was a charter member of the local WCOF and served as chief ranger for 28 years.
Attending from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hoffarth of Aldewood Manor, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. Clem Claseman of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Van Horrick of Osseo, James and Frank Hoffarth of Anoka, Mrs. Jerome Leitch of Anoka, Mrs. Barney Neyer of Swanville, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Koester of Swanville, Mrs Hanna Irsfeld of Browerville, Mrs. Vernon Johnson of Eagle Bend, Miss Marie Hoffarth of Minneapolis, and Mr. and Mrs. Linus Haynes of St. Cloud.
