Anton John Bonin, Jr. PEARLAND - Mr. Anton John Bonin, Jr. passed from this life Saturday afternoon, June 25, 2011, in Webster. Born March 14, 1932 in Houston, TX, Mr. Bonin had been a resident of Pearland for 44 years, previously of Houston. He had been employed with Continental Can Company for over 30 years, served in the US National Guard and was a graduate of Jeff Davis High School. Anton loved to work in the yard, garden vegetables, which his back yard was a show place, he loved a variety of music, was an avid reader and he enjoyed telling family history stories.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Barbara Ann (Brod) Bonin; parents, Anton John and Cecile Philomena (Dugas) Bonin, Sr.; sister, Rose Mary Bonin Tibaldo. Survivors include his sons, Robert Anthony Bonin and wife, Lori, Lawrence Bonin, Daniel Bonin and wife, Debbie, John David Bonin, James Bonin, Joseph Bonin; daughter, Carolyn Ostermayer; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Shirley Brod.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Ponzini officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Curtis Bonin, Daniel Bonin, John Bonin, Joseph Bonin, Lawrence Bonin and Robert Bonin.
