He was my maternal grandfather. An avid Baseball fan he would often fire Earl Weaver the manager of the Orioles from
1968 until my Grandfathers death in 1980.
If he had not learnd of something he said "They did not have that when I went to school." When I was getting ready to go on Vacation in 1976, I told him we were going to
the Bahamas , he said
"Where is that?" I said
"The Caribeian"
"They did not have that when I went to school"
It was fun to take my two cousins, who were his great grandchilren to go to see him.∼He was my Maternal Grandfather. He was quite kindly.
He basicly taught me what it was to be kind in that if I were watching TV with him and would ask him if he liked someone he would say
"He aint never done nothin to me why shouldnt I like him"
He said many silly things like
"What did the Hobo say to the
Bumb"
When you get a Ham Bone save me some.
Like most of his generation he was poorly educated
and prone to blame the bad weather on the flights to the moon.
