Edward C. Walsh, 82, of Fithian, died at 6:50 p.m. yesterday (Dec. 1, 1967) at the Vermilion Nursing Home where he had been a patient three years.
Born in Rantoul, Ill., Jan. 18, 1885, he was the son of John and Mary Walsh. He was married to Dora Lee Williams May 13, 1922, in Kentucky.
She survives along with: A son, Eugene of Danville; a step-son, Louie Smith of Danville; a step-daughter, Ella Mae Weeks of Champaign; seven grandchildren; and two brothers Lawson of Urbana and David of Tucson, Ariz.
Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Services will be at the Johnson Funeral Home in Danville at 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. James Livingston and the Rev. J.T. Myers will officiate, with burial in Maplewood Cemetery at Rantoul.
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 7-9 tonight and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
