Aunt Mae was the oldest of five children born to Samuel & Princella Alexander-Todd. During her early years, Aunt Mae attended the schools of Greene County. Later she married Pompie Tripp and had two children (Ella Rene & James Bernard) and her family moved to Atlanta.
During those early years in Atlanta, Aunt Mae became a member of the First Corinth Missionary Church and became actively involved in the work of the church.
In her later years, Aunt Mae united in matrimony to Robert Smith. They lived in Detroit, Michigan for many years.
Upon retirement, they returned to Atlanta. She, with her husband, reunited with Corinth and was a member of the Mission Board.
Aunt Mae was always, selflessly, tending to and meeting the needs of others. She was loving, joyful, peaceful, gentle-spirited, good-hearted, longsuffering, kind, faithful, meek & sober-minded. I look forward to seeing her in Heaven.
