MAE E. THOMPSON DIES
Mae E. Thompson, 72, of Byron, died Sunday, Feb. 22, at her home, after a short illness.
She was born in Byron township, Ogle county, April 25, 1880, the daughter of Sarah Gorman Leary and Thomas Leary. She married Harry C. Thompson, Oct. 20, 1903.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Nina Thompson, Byron, a sister, Mrs. Earl Wilmarth, Oregon; a brother, Wm. S. Barry, Byron. One brother Mose Leary died in 1942.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and a charter member of the Altar and Rosary society.
Services were held at 9:30 a. m., Tuesday, at St. Mary's Catholic church at Byron. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery at Byron. The rosary was recited at 8:30 p. m. Monday at the residence.
