Jeff was born in Toledo, Ohio, on July 3, 1956, the son of Aubrey and Barbara (Dean) Bennett.
He was a tradesman for the Chrysler Corp. in Toledo.
Jeff was a member of the Unity UMC Church in Northwood, Ohio and was an active member of the Lions Club in Elmore, Ohio, for many years.
Jeff, with his natural good nature, made a great Santa Claus which he played in Elmore for a number of years. He also traveled to nursing homes and private residences as Santa to bring holiday cheer.
Survivors include his brother, Thomas Bennett and sister, Lisa Reed; sister-in-law, Susan Bennett; along with nieces, great nieces and nephews. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Aubrey "Bud" Bennett.
A funeral service for Jeff will be conducted at 4 PM, on Saturday, July 2, 2011, in the Unity UMC Church, 1910 E. Broadway, Northwood, Ohio 43619. Visitation will be in the church from 2 PM until the time of service.
The family suggests that memorials in Jeff's name be directed to the church.
The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West St. Genoa, Ohio, is assisting the family with arrangements.
