Death Claims one of Forsyth's Old-timers
Mrs. Hattie Telitha Meador was born in Cooke County, TX., in 1865.
She passed away at the Community Hospital here Jan. 22, 1944 at the age of 79 years, three months, and 24 days, following a short illness.
Mrs. Meador came to Forsyth 38 years ago and has been a resident of the county since.
She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. W.H. Oatey of Forsyth, MT., Mrs. U. G. Knox of Hugo, OK., a don, Arthur Lee McCausland of Los Angles, CA., Also four granddaughters, Lt. Edith Oatey of Wac, Baltimore, MD., Mrs. Robert Bond of Seattle, WA., Mrs. E. L. Daniels of Spokane, WA., Mrs. William Sizemore of Barstow, CA.,
grandson U. G. Knox in the Marines, four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at Booths Mortuary, the Rev. Eugene Wagner officiating.
Janice Fisher sang two numbers, and pallbearers were: Gus Cael, Frank Ballard, P.M. Cook, Earl Woodward, George Hoagland, W. L. Scott.
Interment was made in the local cemetery.
