Lt. Col. (Ret.) Paul Ando was 91 at the time of his death he was from Point Pleasant. Paul was survived by his beloved wife A. Caroline Ando and his four children, Paul J. Ando III and his wife Janet of Bricktown, Karen Breuel and her husband Edward of Howell, Ann Clayton and her husband Scott of Point Pleasant and Thomas A. Ando of Point Pleasant . He was predeceased by his daughter, Bernadette Anen, Bricktown in 2008. He was beloved grandfather to ten grandchildren, Paul J. Ando IV and his wife Susan, Terrance Ando and his wife Joelle, Edward Breuel Jr., Dana Fontana and her husband Guy, Christopher Anen and his wife Denise, Sean Anen, Scott T. Clayton, Kerry Clayton, Allyson Clayton and Colin Clayton. He also was survived by five great grandchildren, Nicole, Camryn, Nicolas, Tyler and Daniel.

His military career with both the United States Army and the United States Air Force spanned over 40 years. He proudly served his country during three wars, WW II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. In 1938, while stationed at Schofield Barracks in Honolulu , HI he was his Divisions boxing delegate. He received numerous commendations including the Meritorious Service Medal, the American Defense Service Medal and the European, African and Middle-Eastern Service Medals. He retired in 1978 as Base Commander of the 108th Combat Support Group at McGuire AFB.
He was an active parishioner of St. Martha's Church in Point Pleasant since moving to the shore in 1970. He loved spending time with his family, fishing and enjoying Sea Girt beach.
