Edna Shirlene Bullins Visit Guest Book

MADISON — Edna Shirlene Bullins, 71, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Oak Forest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Winston-Salem.

A 2 p.m. funeral service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011, at the Ray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Nelson and Rev. Mark Lawless officiating. Interment will follow at the Wilson Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

A Stokes County native, Shirlene was born October 4, 1939, the daughter of Kelcie and Mattie Hundley Bullins. She was a member of Crossroads of Life Ministry and attended faithfully as long as her health permitted. Shirlene devoted her life to be a mother and housewife.

In addition to her parents, Shirlene was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, James Denson Bullins in 1982; two brothers Paul Dean Bullins and Edward Bullins.

Shirlene is survived by two children, Wanda S. Bullins and Jame M. Bullins of the home; three sisters, Bessie Shemo of Madison, Mary Bullins (Cliff) of Madison and Patsy Mabe (Tommy) of Sandy Ridge; four brothers Cecil Bullins (Martha) of Madison, Ray Bullins (Mary Ruth) of Madison, Rev. Roy Bullins (Cheryl) of Danbury and Donnie Bullins (Faye) of Madison; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., Friday, July 1 2011, at Ray Funeral Home and at other times at the family home. Online condolences may be sent to www.rayfuneralhome.com
