Mrs. Mary V. (Sears) Shea, 86, of 45 Wolcott St., died Thursday in a local nursing home after a long illness. She was the widow of Maurice Shea.

She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Shea) Sears, and was educated in Holyoke schools. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for several years by American Pad and Paper Co. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church.

Mrs. Shea is survived by a brother, Edward Sears of Holyoke; five sisters, Mrs. Rose Anderstrom of Springfield, Mrs. Agnes Dent of Holyoke, with whom she made her home, and Miss Gertrude Sears, Mrs. Katherine Sullivan, and Mrs. Lillian Lally, also all of Holyoke; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Saturday morning from the Messier-Farrell Funeral Home, Northampton St., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are this evening 7 to 9.
