William A. Lumsden, Topinabee, died August 27, 1979 in Little Traverse Hospital in Petoskey after a lingering illness.
Mr. Lumsden was born June 19, 1913 in Buena Vista, Pennsylvania and spent his childhood there. He spent the rest of his life in Chicago until eight years ago, when he moved to Topinabee.
He married Iva Ray on December 3, 1955. His wife survives him. He is also survived by a son, Jack, of Chicago, two daughters, Ruth Mottys of Chicago, and Marvell Martin of Tennessee, four grandchildren, and one sister, Ellen Misehler of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Topinabee Community Church. Reverend Ronald Freel officiated. Burial follow at the Burt Mullett Cemetery in Topinabee.
