Fulton R. Holliday passed away September 29, 2009 at the age of 91. A native of Transylvania County, he was born May 30, 1918 to the late Marshall H. and Flora Ledbetter Holliday. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Anna M. Holliday, sisters; Geraldine, Jewel, and Jenny, and a brother; Henry.
He is Survived by two sons; Boyd Holliday and Wife Jean, and John Holliday and Wife Nancy, and one daughter; Marie Siniard, grandchildren; Thomas Siniard and Wife Cristy, Aaron Siniard and Wife Amanda, and Elizabeth Hensley Holliday, great grandchildren; Lillie and Nyx Siniard, and many nieces and nephews.
Fulton served in the Army Air Corp during WWII and was stationed in Ireland. He then worked at Olin Corp/Ecusta Plant for 40 years until retirement.
Fulton enjoyed several avenues during his life including spending time with his family, camping, fishing, hunting, astronomy, and gem collecting. He was a quiet, loving, thoughtful, and tender person.
A graveside service will be held 11am, Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Pisgah Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Randolph Harry officiating.
