Ralph Baker was born in Lexington County. He was a son of the late Young Barris and Florrie Vivian Creech Baker. He retired after 30 years as an electrician and 13 years as maintenance supervisor with the Shakespeare Corp. He served in the S.C. National Guard and was a member of First Baptist Church of West Columbia and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Surviving are a son, Gerald Baker of West Columbia; and sisters, Mrs. Vivian Coleman and Mrs. Harold (Doris) Brewer, both of Cayce, and Mrs. Otis (Sarah) McCracken of Columbia.
