Delta Chapter Installs, Awards 50 Year Pins
Ralph E Naramore of Penryn was installed Excellent High Priest of Delta Charter, Royal Arch Masons of Auburn at open ceremonies which were held in the Chapter Rooms of the Auburn Masonic Temple on Monday evening.
Most Excellent Companion William C Leeson, Past Grand Priest of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of the State of California was the installing officer, assisted by John H Robinson, Past Grand Master of Royal and Select Master of the State of California as Master of Ceremonies. The Installing Marshall was Louis Lavelle, Past High Priest of Sacramento Council No. 3.
Entertainment was provided by Beatrice Broocks and Elizabeth Lague at the piano and Gene Scott, vocal solos. All numbers were well received.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the presentation of Fifty Year Membership awards in both Delta Chapter and Gateway Council to john Spencer, former Auburn man who is now residing in Oakland. Both presentation were made by Past Grand Priest William C Leeson. John Spencer, who attended the meeting in company with his wife Mrs. Mildred Spencer; accepted both presentations with brief remarks in which he told of his kind feelings he has always held for this area and his many friends who still reside here.
The installation ceremonies were opened with the presentation of the Flag of our Country by members of the Auburn De Moley Chapter.
Officers of the Delta Chapter installed:
Excellent High priest, Ralph E Naramore; King, Edmund J Pilz; Scribe, Melvin A McDougal; Secretary, Ralph N Berryman; Treasurer, Harry Rosenberry; Chaplain, August Gleisberg; Captain of the Host, Leslie P Richardson; Principal Sojourner, Louis P Enzler; Royal Arch Captain, John R Robie and Henry T Broocks, Walter Young, John Lansden; Masters of the Veils, J Edwin Van Riper was installed Sentinel.
Refreshments were served in the banquet room to complete an excellent meeting.
